Blushing Betsie
It's Spring, so says the calender! March 22, 2013, Kris and I take the day to head up North with no specific destination in mind. We spent a few hours up by Old Mission Point, and in the evening, we made a last minute decision to head over to Point Betsie Lighthouse for sunset. We were really surprised at all the ice formations. The magical element came into play 3 minutes before sunset. The sun, which had eluded us all day appeared in a very small clearing right above the horizon and gave us the most spectacular glow on the ice and the Lighthouse for a few brief minutes before saying good night. We waited over 45 minutes in hopes that it would play out like it did!
